Meet Our Staff

Emilie Collins, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Collins is the founder of HearCare, Inc. and Associates. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology from Stephen F. Austin State University, a Master of Science degree in Audiology from the University of North Texas, and a Doctorate of Audiology from Arizona School of Health Science. She came to Sherman in 1981 as a staff Audiologist for two local Ear, Nose and Throat physicians. She started her private practice in 1987. Away from the office, Dr. Collins and her husband, Troy, live at Lake Texoma and enjoy hiking, fishing and boating. She recently has become a facilitator of expressive arts and teaches a weekly Process Painting class.

 

Kelly Johnson, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Kelly Johnson joined our staff at HearCare Inc and Associates in 2007. Dr. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Science and a Doctor of Audiology degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas. She has worked in the West Texas, as well as North Texas area, helping children and adults regain more normal lives through the improvement of their hearing abilities. Dr. Johnson grew up on the eastern shore of Maryland and moved to Mckinney, Texas during her high school years. She and her husband, David, are enjoying being new parents to their 10 month old daughter, Ella.

 

Rob Neely
Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist

Rob joined our staff at HearCare Inc and Associates in 2004. Rob has a Bachelor of Science degree in business, marketing and psychology. Rob began his career in healthcare through Cigna Insurance Company, where he was a manager of insurance benefit analysts.. He also worked in Dallas for a medical management firm, managing accounts for 10 physicians. Rob has played an integral part in patient care at HearCare, Inc. providing hearing testing and consultation, hearing aid fitting and follow-up. He also provides industrial safety programs and testing for local business. Rob grew up in Bonham and Bells, TX. Away from the office, Rob enjoys his new dog, Daisey, gourmet cooking and participating in chraritable sporting clay events.

 

Charlene Hamrick
Financial Director

Charlene joined our staff at HearCare, Inc. and Associates in 2003, after moving to Texas from California. She gained experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable while working for a Doctor in California. After moving to Texas, she worked as an Insurance Account Manager for the Veterans Administration Clinic in Sherman. Charlene is a valuable advocate for negotiating with insurance companies on patient's behalf. She is the up-front person you will first speak with in regards to appointments, insurance benefits and walk in sales and service. Charlene is a competitive bowler, a softball and band mom for her two daughters, Kira and Marissa.
