Dr. Emilie Collins began her career as a Staff Audiolgist at the Vaughn Memorial Speech and Hearing Clinic in Tyler, Texas. In 1981, she came to Sherman, Texas to work with two local Ear, Nose, and Throat physicians. In 1983, she began her own private practice, and is the only Audiologist serving Grayson County and the surrounding areas, consistently since 1981.

Dr. Collins received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Arizona School of Health Science , Mesa, Arizona, in 2004; her Master of Science Degree in Audiology from the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas in 1979; and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Pathology from Stephen F. Austin State University, in Nacogdoches, Texas in 1976. She spent a year studying in the field of Deaf Education in Edinburgh, Scotland as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, and taught in the schools for the deaf in Glasgow, Scotland.
